The Kylian Mbappe-Real Madrid saga looks as interminable as the Sahara. With the Frenchman still failing to commit to his future with Paris Saint-Germain, he has been linked with an exit. Although news surfaced that he was offered $108 million to stay in the France capital, suitors Real Madrid have been cautioned over the Frenchman’s ‘delirious‘ greed for money.

Renowned Spanish manager Peton, on El Chiringuito TV, discussed Kylian Mbappe’s potential transfer to Los Blancos. However, it took an ugly turn, as Peton claimed the 25-year-old superstar was all about the Benjamins. He said, Until now, Mbappe has always looked for money. For those who have a lot of money, it is delirious.” Notably, this statement comes after he received a fresh offer from PSG worth €100 million or $108 million per season, as per Diario ASIt is 3x of Real Madrid’s reported offer of €30 million or $32.6 million.

Earlier, the 2018 World Cup winner did the same thing. When his contract was about to expire at PSG and was close to arriving at Santiago Bernabeu, he took a U-turn and penned on PSG’s €630 million or $685 million contract for three years. Hence, according to Peton, history might repeat itself, seeing Kylian Mbappe choose the lucrative offer. However, there aren’t any reports confirming whether he has accepted the offer or not.

Following Real Madrid’s Spanish Supercopa win against FC Barcelona in Riyadh, Los Blancos’ President Florentino Perez was asked to comment on Kylian Mbappe’s arrival. It is the day to congratulate the players we have, not the ones other teams have.” He didn’t even take Mbappe’s name after that and rather talked about his own players.

One take at a time

I first kicked a soccer ball when I was 12. My early exposure to playing the sport earned me many accolades at the zonal and district levels. I still remember my first goal, where I scored a 90+5 minute header like Sergio Ramos did in the 2014 Champions League final against Atletico Madrid.
