After backlash from rival fans about Messi winning the Ballon d’Or this year, the Argentine, however, won his 8th trophy. But all that has led to discontent from Piers Morgan and Ronaldo. Morgan slammed Messi’s accomplishment, calling the award for the best player rigged. Apart from that, the journalist also took the side of the Portuguese soccer star to express his point.
Morgan stated, “Messi preposterously winning the Ballon d’Or this year is yet more proof that the whole ‘Golden Ball’ system is rigged. He should have won 2 fewer, @Cristiano should have won 2 more, and Haaland should have won this year. End.”
