Interestingly, when Becks shared the news of Messi’s arrival with his wife Victoria Beckham at 5 am, he had to face her fury. 

If you’re the owner of Inter Miami and you know that Messi is coming to your club, its only natural to jump in excitement. In a recent interview with the Athletic, Beckham revealed what transpired during those penultimate moments. 

David Beckham discusses Victoria’s 5 am fury!

Beckham stated, “I was in Japan with the family and woke up at 5am because my phone kept vibrating. My wife was like, ‘Really?! Turn your phone off!’. I look on my phone and I’m like, ‘What’s happened? Something’s happened!’. I put my glasses on and I’m like, ‘Leo’s coming! It’s done! He has announced it!’. My wife was like, ‘What do you mean he has announced it?’. I said, ‘He has gone on TV and said he’s coming to Inter Miami!’.”

Thereafter, when Victoria woke up, she hugged him, and David got emotional with the love of his life. The Manchester United legend expressed that he had goosebumps when he heard the news. Sharing the club’s ownership with billionaire entrepreneur Jorge Mas, Beckham had an emotional conversation following the announcement. In fact, he believes the transfer is a dream and goes at 7.30 am to the training ground to confirm his presence. For any owner, having the ability to sign Messi is stunning.
