Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo are marquee signings for Saudi Arabian clubs. While Neymar is yet to unlock his potential for Al Hilal, Cristiano Ronaldo has been doing wonders for Al Nassr for some time now. CR7 is currently the highest goal scorer in the SPL this season. However, this week there is another Portuguese who has received the highest rating. Playing from the defensive mid, the Al Hilal player scored a goal and filled the shoes of Neymar.

Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 9 goals and provided 4 assists in the SPL so far. The next big signing of SPL, Neymar, was benched due to fatigue reasons. Ney is yet to give an impressive performance for the club. Till then, his teammate looks like he is handling the situation well.

Redeeming Neymar and keeping a clean sheet plus scoring a goal, Al Hilal’s Ruben Neves ticked all the boxes to receive the highest Sofascore rating for this week. The Portuguese has been impressive this season and has provided stunning performances to take the team to the top spot.

The $57 million rated player received a rating of 9.8 for his exceptional performance against Division 1 side, Al Jabalain. Cristiano Ronaldo was placed in the 8th position and received a rating of 8.2. Neves made 114 accurate passes while completing 5 successful ground duels and converting the only shot on target.

Another Portuguese talent, Ruben Rodrigues, representing Oxford United FC, secures the fifth spot with an impressive rating of 8.5.

Although many top talents have joined the Saudi Pro League, Rafael Leao is not interested in joining the SPL anytime soon. His remarks suggest he wishes to win the UEFA Champions League.

Rafael Leao, the talented AC Milan star, has firmly declined the opportunity to join the Saudi Pro League. He made it clear that his priorities lie elsewhere. Leao is steadfast in his commitment to the Champions League and is not swayed by the lure of a hefty salary in the Gulf country. He has opted to stay in Italy with his focus firmly set on winning titles with AC Milan.

Leao’s decision stems from his belief that he has not yet achieved what he aspires to in his time in Italy. Having signed a new deal with AC Milan, he envisions his immediate future in the red and black stripes. While a move to Saudi Arabia may be contemplated later in his career, for now, Rafael Leao is not considering such a transfer anytime soon.

Teams have been chasing the forward for quite some time. Major European clubs wanted to make him their marquee signing but Leao has chosen to grow and develop with AC Milan. Accumulating 3 goals and 2 assists in Serie A so far, the Portuguese is looking to have another wonderful year with the Milan club.
