The MLS fans cannot wait for Lionel Messi to enter the league. The soccer fraternity wants to see him in action as soon as possible, and none more than Inter Miami fans. David Beckham’s club is in tatters this season, and can’t wait for the club to get back to winning ways. For that, they need the help of the Argentinean superstar because right now, the club lies in 15th place in the Eastern Conference. Thus, fans reacted to their disappointing form and need more from the team in the upcoming matches.

In fact, one fan explained how Cristiano Ronaldo would never join a team in this situation. Fans have already taken to Twitter to slash Messi for joining the club and don’t feel optimistic about him turning things around.

In the 21 games they played, they have only won five matches. Goal scoring has been an issue for the club having only 22 goals. Therefore, there are glaring issues for the club, and one fan commented that Ronaldo would never let them be in this position. The fan commented, “Ronaldo wouldn’t let this happen.” Having said that, Al Nassr couldn’t manage the league title following Ronaldo’s arrival. They succumbed to second position in the league, missing out on the league title.

Fans also commented on how it had to do with the Messi effect. One fan commented, “The Messi effect,” and another reacted by stating, “Messi won’t fix this.” Messi arrives with much fanfare after signing a contract of over $54 million every year. What comes with that are goals and assists and magical moments. But the current situation of Inter Miami is not a straightforward task. In the combined table, they lie in 28th position and winless in ten games. That doesn’t paint a pretty picture.

Lionel Messi to lead the MLS revolution

Following Messi’s arrival, several world-class players are linked to Beckham’s team. They are linked with players like Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba to the club and hopefully can turn this club’s fortunes around. Busquets is one of the premium defensive midfielders and can shore up the defense well. As for Alba, he too bombs down the left wing in his complete left-wing back role.

Both players can make a difference to the team and improve them rapidly. With defensive solidarity and creative movement upfront, all is not lost for Inter Miami.
