Sometimes, controversy overshadows incredible moments and achievements. The recently concluded FIFA Women’s World Cup is a prime example. Firstly, USWNT and Megan Rapinoe were at the center of it. And when Spain won the competition, the president of the Federation’s questionable conduct has now reportedly cost him his job. After initially calling out the Spanish FA boss, Rapinoe now bids him farewell.

Spain made history by winning its first FIFA Women’s World Cup. They achieved the dream amid a stand-off between the players and the Spanish Federation. However, the team didn’t let that affect their morale and got the ultimate prize. But on this prestigious occasion, Luis Rubiales crossed the line, attracting heavy criticism. It seems Rapinoe is happy with reports of Rubiales’ resignation.
