Al Nassr skipper Cristiano Ronaldo has embroiled himself in a major controversy following his recent actions. While the Portuguese star and his side bagged a massive comeback win against Al Shadab FC, everyone was more absorbed in what transpired during the game. The second half of the contest saw opposition fans mock Cristiano by chanting Lionel Messi‘s name, attempting to frustrate the player. Well, their attempt was more than a success, as the Al Nassr skipper was seen confronting fans with an obscene gesture!

It seems like the act has not gone down well with Saudi Arabian higher-ups. The nation has stringent guidelines for how people should act in public, and it seems even Cristiano Ronaldo won’t get a free pass. According to reports, the Saudi Arabian Football Federation is investigating the player’s actions and could sanction CR7 if he’s found guilty.

Saudi Arabian writer and TV host Waleed Al Farraj discussed the issue on social media, stating, “The disciplinary commission faces the greatest test. Everything has its limits, no matter how famous you are.”

It is not the first time CR7 has found himself in trouble after making an obscene gesture towards fans. The recently concluded Riyadh Season Cup saw similar scenes as the frustrated Al Nassr star tried to clap back at the fans after their constant attempts to rile him up. Moreover, Ronaldo saw his team knocked out from advancing to the next round.

Al Nassr was left in the dust by Al Hilal in the finals, with the Saudi Pro League leaders bagging a comfortable 2-0 win. Cristiano was less than pleased by the outcome, as he was seen making furious gestures during the post-match presentation. However, things got rough when the Al Nassr skipper got personal with a fan after tossing a scarf at the fans and displaying controversial behavior!
