Cristiano Ronaldo seems to be fitting right in in Saudi Arabia. The Portuguese striker’s last year was fraught with criticism, as his performance was called into question, but his move to Al Nassr has brought about a change of pace. And in a recent show of appreciation, Ronaldo took the time to thank his Saudi fans for the respectful treatment he has received from them.

Ronaldo’s journey with Al Nassr has been nothing short of commendable. Now, in just a few hours the 38-year-old’s pursuit for another trophy begins. Al Nassr is set to face off against Al Shabab in the King Cup of Champions quarter-finals. However, before the big match, the soccer icon expressed his gratitude towards his fans in Saudi Arabia.

Ronaldo’s move to Al Nassr has been a breath of fresh air both for him and his fans. Talking about his Saudi experience the 5x Ballon d’Or winner recently stated, “People here in Saudi Arabia are very nice and did not harass or bother me.” 

He then detailed the stark contrast between his reception in Saudi Arabia which is “unlike other countries and places where many people cross their limits,” added Cristiano Ronaldo. CR7 looks relieved to have found a place away from the incessant scrutiny that overshadowed his final months at Manchester United.

This news comes after he missed a game against Luton Town as a result of stress on his ankle bone. It seems that the effects of his previous injury sustained during an International break in November are still lingering.
