Now, a pundit has claimed that the Red Devils would finish in the top four with Guardiola as their manager.

The United fans will now hope that at least Erik ten Hag can revive their season on the pitch. But, at the moment, the indications are that they will face more problems this season.

But, after the start of this season, everything was back to normal. Manchester United are unable to get positive results on a consistent basis this season. However, Manchester City under Pep Guardiola continues to do well in the Premier League and the Champions League. Now, Pundit and Chelsea legend Frank Leboeuf has made a big claim on how United would have performed under Pep.

Frank Leboeuf speaking on ESPN said, “Guardiola as a coach, you know that the guy is a legend as a football player, but as a coach, and when you win Champions League titles after titles, you get the respect from the others. It’s one maybe ten Hag doesn’t have right now because of his past, which is not of course as big as Guardiola’s, so I think Guardiola, if he were the coach of Manchester United, would be in a much better position.

The Red Devils need to sort out their takeover situation quickly to avoid more issues

At the moment, the biggest issue at Manchester United is the takeover issue. Qatar businessman Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani has exited the race. This is because the Glazers refused a $6 Billion offer for the 100% ownership of the club. But, the problem at the moment, is the Glazers do not well the whole club. They are only open to now selling a minority stake in the club. It is not yet clear whether that would eventually lead to a full takeover in the future.

British businessman Sir James Arthur Ratcliffe has made a bid for the minority stake of the club. However, the news has not generated buzz on social media among United fans. This is because they want Glazers to leave and want someone to take over 100% of the club. But, Glazer sees Sir James Arthur Ratcliffe as their preferred option. Many reports expect the minority stake takeover to be completed before the January transfer window.  Clarity is still required on the situation as any takeover will need the approval from FA and Premier League.

Manchester United are currently 8th in the Premier League table. They are going to need new signings in January to at least finish in the European places.
