Paris Saint Germain is a force to be reckoned with in Ligue 1. Since the takeover of the club in 2011, the Parisians have won 9 league titles in 12 seasons. Six of those have been with their star forward Kylian Mbappe. The Paris talisman, yet again, proved crucial today and, after the victory, took a dig at one journalist to prove his point.

Having denied a contract extension, Mbappe was soon reinstated to the PSG squad by Luis Enrique. Now that he has returned, the Frenchman is showing why keeping him away from the pitch will do more harm to the club.

After the game, a small exchange followed between the forward and the fans, with Mbappe celebrating by teasing the Brest fans. Later, he also took a dig at another journalist from La Chaine L’Equipe justifying that he defended his teammate after an insult.

Mbappe sarcastically said, “Well of course and I should have even sang with them when they insulted my teammate. Some have really never set foot on a football field regardless of the level.”

Mbappe’s response was to a tweet by Latour saying, “A captain of the French team should not do that.” The journalist was using the 24-year-old’s designation to hold him guilty, but the World Cup Golden Boot winner would not oblige.
