The soccer world finally has an answer for the future of Lionel Messi. A few days ago, the Argentinian superstar finally announced his decision to play for MLS side Inter Miami. Speculation was floating around regarding his next club, but the World Cup winner’s next domestic club looks set.

The MNM trio of Messi, Neymar, and Mbappe came to a historic end. La Pulga finally gave his best wishes to the French club to start a new chapter of his domestic career. However, rewinding back to the last meeting with his PSG teammates, the veteran had some words of wisdom for his friend and teammate, Mbappe.

And those words of wisdom were more like transfer advice for his fellow striking partner. As stated by the Football Tweet, Messi said, “I’d rather you go to Barça but, if you want to go to Madrid, do it. You deserve a real project, a winning project.” The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner advised Mbappe to sign for Barcelona’s arch-rivals, Madrid.

While Messi does wish the Frenchmen to join his former club, he surprisingly urged the PSG superstar to choose Los Blancos if he were to move clubs. His words subtly indicate that Madrid has a better project than the $4.76 billion rated club, and Mbappe will seemingly fit into their winning project. Indeed, these are some strong words from Messi that many Barca fans may have found a bit shocking.

Coming back to Mbappe’s move to Madrid, both parties seem interested. In fact, the Frenchman recently caught up in transfer mayhem with PSG, which eventually led the president of France to jump in.

French President dipped his toes into Mbappe’s transfer saga

Mbappe once again caught the headlines after he became embroiled in an intense transfer saga. There were speculations circulating about his potential departure from Paris Saint-Germain. In the midst of this ongoing drama, French President Emmanuel Macron has made a notable display of support for the PSG stalwart. The president expressed his desire for Mbappe to remain in France. He said, “I don’t know what is happening with Kylian, but I will push for him to stay.”

Indeed, it is quite remarkable to see the country’s most important person making such a request to Mbappe. The highly talented French star has played a pivotal role for the club, drawing attention from elite European teams throughout his career. Mbappe has recently declined to sign a contract extension for PSG by sending them a letter. With his current contract set to expire in June 2024, the Ligue one giants may lose him for free. In fact, this drama is even forcing them to sell the player this summer, with Madrid being the frontrunner in the race.
