Just like a bunch of her colleagues, Simona Halep is skeptical to travel to the US this 2020. All due to the escalating number of coronavirus cases and in the western part of the world, and presently the situation is almost close to unplayable.
The Romanian ace mentioned, she’s a ‘bit worried’ to travel to New York this year, and is she yet to decide her appearance in the event.
“It will be a little difficult, it depends on restrictions and a little bit worried to make that move. I have no idea at the moment because nobody knows what is going to happen after this month. I will wait and see what is being decided, see what the other players will do,” Simona told BBC’s Wimbledon.

Former Roland Garros champion Simona Halep enjoys more playing on clay courts than on the hard ones. Also, she’ll prefer to present her best form at the French Open. The two Slams are scheduled just two weeks apart.
She wouldn’t prefer to tire herself before the Paris Major by traveling to New York. Consequently, Halep is most likely to scarp off the US Major in 2020.
Also, recently World Number one Novak Djokovic revealed he still hasn’t decided about the US Open 2020. Austrian ace Dominic Thiem stated he will choosing one out of the two Slams, and most probably the astute clay-courter will be choosing to play Roland Garros over the Big Apple Slam.
“Now I’m hungry again” – Simona Halep

Now I’m hungry again. I want to travel and play tennis. This period helped me believe I have a few more years ahead.”
