“I Hope All The Madness is Over” – Simona Halep Announces Good News For Fans

World Number two Simona Halep expressed her unwillingness to travel for the US Open 2020 due to the situations getting worse each day. She stated it would be risky. Also, the potential quarantine regulations do not motivate her to fly to the western part of the world in the middle of a pandemic.
However, recently she announced to play at Palermo Open in Sicily. It will be the first WTA event to get underway since the tour was derailed due to the fatal pandemic.
The second-most consistent player of WTA Halep is delighted to play some professional tennis once again. But simultaneously, she’s apprehensive to resume her traveling agenda during these dire times.

“I have not yet made a clear decision but I hope to start with Palermo,” Simona Halep told reporters in the Romanian city of Cluj-Napoca (as reported by Reuters). “It’s hard without tournaments, I miss them, I hope we can travel quietly and without fear soon because it’s a little worrying.
“My life has changed, everything is different. But the fact that I didn’t travel a lot was also a good thing because I rested a lot, I wanted this. I hope all the madness is over. I miss playing and I really enjoy participating in this tournament.”
Two-time Grand Slam champion Simona Hale enjoyed the longest break of her career in Bucharest, Romania. During the break, she was running and exercising, and she did not pick up a tennis racquet during the lockdown in Romania.

In 2020, World Number two Simona Halep had a phenomenal beginning of the season. She raced into the semifinals of the Australian Open. Therein, she lost a close match against Garbine Muguruza.
However, a few days later, the Romanian ace flew to Dubai and lifted her 20th career title by defeating Elena Rybakina in the finals.
