Former World Number one Caroline Wozniacki hung her boots at Australian Open 2020, after losing to Ons Jabeur in the third-round. Before that, in her penultimate tournament at Auckland International, she partnered her best friend on the WTA Tour Serena Williams for the doubles discipline matches.
The duo rejoiced every moment they spent together on the court and they made a deep run in the finals. In the title match, they lost to the American-pair Taylor Townsend and Asia Muhammad.
After spending time on the professional court with Serena, Caroline regrets not having played tennis with Williams earlier in her career. When it comes to doubles tennis, Serena has always teamed up with her elder sister Venus. In Auckland, it was her first doubles tournament wherein she was partnering with someone else besides Venus.
