Barcelona beat Granada 3-0 on the last matchday to successfully defend their La Liga title in what have been one of the finest seasons in recent years. Arch rivals Real Madrid, who were just a point adrift of Barcelona, came out as 2-0 winners at Deportivo La Coruna, but needed Barcelona to slip up and drop points from their match against Granada. But the Andalusian side provided little resistance to Barcelona’s title challenge. Luis Suarez capped off his excellent season with yet another hat-trick, reaching the 40 goal mark, and is in pole position to claim the European Golden Shoe award for the 2015-16 season. Like always, Twitter exploded with congratulatory and heart-felt messages and we couldn’t help but share them.
