It’s pretty much guaranteed that we’ll be seeing Conor McGregor back in the UFC. ‘The Notorious’ has been teasing his return for months now, and it’s been a real rollercoaster. Originally, we had our hopes set for a comeback by the end of this year, but it seems like the UFC-verse had some other plans, and we’ll be welcoming him back in the octagon next year.

Fans are eager to witness the ‘Mystic Mac’ back in action and it seems like he is not looking forward to disappointing them. However, the former dual weight champion, Daniel Cormier has one piece of advice for the UFC and you would not expect what it is. So let’s dive in to find out.

Conor McGregor‘s potential opponent for his destined comeback is Michael Chandler and he has been training exclusively for Chandler. However, Daniel Cormier seems to have set his plans in a different direction. ‘DC’ wants to add a bit of spice to his comeback and suggests UFC to set up a fight between McGregor and Islam Makhachev.

‘DC’ in his excitement asserted that Makhachev should fight McGregor not once but thrice. He expressed, “I think Islam should fight Conor. I think Islam should fight Conor. I think Islam should fight Conor McGregor because listen to this now. You have to listen. It’s built-in. It’s the biggest money fight that the UFC can make, and why not? You’ve got Islam Makhachev, who loves to beat a guy that’s gonna be a dominant champion.”

‘DC’ further added,  “In order to have that dominant champion go to the next level of superstardom, you need a foil. You need a guy that can elevate him. And that guy who can elevate him to that level is Conor McGregor. Look at what Conor McGregor did, or look at what beating Conor McGregor did to Dustin Poirier and Khabib Nurmagomedov.”

Daniel Cormier’s assessment meant as if he was hinting at a Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. In The Conor McGregor fight, interestingly Johnny Walker seems to be thinking the same thing as ‘DC’. The Brazilian took to his Instagram handle to comment, ” @thenotoriousmma beat makhachev and Khabib comes back to revenge and the biggest rematch of UFC ever happens.” with several prominent figures pitching in for the there might be a possibility that the match may happen. However, Islam Makhachev seems to be interested in the welterweight division now due to Colby Covington‘s remarks on Dagestani wrestling.

Islam Makhachev is renowned for his distinctive MMA prowess, blending the art of wrestling and Sambo seamlessly. He has expressed his aspirations to step up to the welterweight division in the future. In response, Colby Covington has asserted his belief that “American wrestling” holds superiority over “mountain wrestling.”

In response to Covington’s statement, Makhachev’s coach Javier Mendez just had one thing to say ” “All I gotta say is… you gotta pay attention to the Dagestanis wrestling, buddy.” Mendez stated this when Mendev had an interview with Submission Radio.
