UFC welterweight Nate Diaz spoke to Mike Bohn in the lead-up to his fight at UFC 263 in Glendale, Arizona. Diaz returns to action after a long lay-off to take on the number three ranked welterweight in Leon Edwards. A win over ‘Rocky’ Edwards would bring Diaz close to title contention despite not being ranked inside the top 15.
Fans are always excited to see Nate Diaz compete, and he’ll be participating in a five-round contest. While Diaz knows he’s the A-side on the card, he also recognized that there were other marquee bouts that are worth getting excited about. Stockton’s second son expressed an interest to see Deiveson Figueiredo and Brandon Moreno slug it out for a second time after their stellar first fight.
“The other guy, they’re going to have good fights too, though, so that’s a good thing. I like the little Moreno guy. Uh, Brandon Moreno, yeah and they had a really good fight last time and then Adesanya and Vettori are f**king the best guys in that division right, so that f**king should be a good show.”

Nate Diaz is confident that beating Leon Edwards who is on a 9-fight unbeaten streak will get him a crack at Kamaru Usman. However, as stranger things have happened in MMA, fans wouldn’t be all that surprised
Not to mention, the UFC will be happy to push Diaz towards the title if everything falls in his favor. He’s a massive star at the box office and his notoriety has been on full display during fight week.
