Alex Pereira and Francis Ngannou once set the benchmark for being the strongest strikers in the world. In 2017, ‘The Predator’ set the world record for hardest-hitting punch, with a score of 129,161. The following year, Pereira created a new record with 191,796 on the machine. But now, both these records have been broken once again.
Eddie Hall, the former strongest man in the world, has set a new record for the hardest-hitting punch. In a video that has been going viral on the internet, the British strongman scored a whopping 208,901 units on the machine. TNT Sports took to Instagram and shared a video that showed the ‘Poatan’ who had previously and quite effortlessly broken Ngannou’s record with a powerful right-arm strike, followed by Hall’s newest achievement.

Undeniably, the fans took over the comments section with their verdict. Even though the numbers for Hall were quite impressive, the fans chose not to stand with him. The entire world of mixed martial arts seemingly disregarded Hall’s record, claiming Pereira was the true heavy hitter.
Alex Pereira gets all the support despite getting his record broken
After comparing Eddie Hall’s weight class with that of the Brazilian mixed martial artist, many of the fans claimed to dismiss the strongman as the one with the strongest punch. Hall weighs around 362 lbs, while Pereira is about 100 lbs lighter. Pereira’s right hook has a dangerous reputation. The force he packs in his punches has thrown many grown men down to the canvas. Without a doubt, the fans took this into consideration and opined that if the champ had used his left hand, the outcome would have been different. This was highlighted by comments like, “Alex hitting with his right hand and not his shadow realm left hook hand” and “What if it was Alex’s left hook?” People also claimed that Pereira’s “left hook would have broken the machine.”

But there is more to it. Fans noticed the difference in their techniques, as well. While the UFC light heavyweight champion throws punches for a living, Hall’s job is to be big and strong. This difference in their profession makes Pereira’s punch more effective. “He might hit harder, BUT he doesn’t know when and how, timing, speed, and precision. And most importantly, he is not a professional fighter. His profession is to be big and strong” wrote one fan. They further noted that Pereira made it all seem pretty effortless.
