Conor McGregor is on a hiatus from all combat sports, as of now. But, don’t be surprised when you see him fight in the boxing ring, instead of the Octagon. The Dubliner revealed that his interest in boxing has grown. Despite him yielding a negative result in his only professional boxing match. Interestingly enough, McGregor has some extra initiative to return to the ring as a fellow Irishman offered him a championship belt.
All that remains is for The Notorious to do a shocking switcheroo.

The Irish boxer was so confident before his fight, he went on to challenge his fellow countryman Conor McGregor. Hogan said “If I win, the first thing I will do is get in touch with [Coach Kavanagh] and say ‘Is there any chance Conor may want this?’”
Hogan stated he is excited to organize a title defense against ‘Mystic Mac’ in front of his own countrymen. “I would love to go back to Ireland and have a title defense there,” said Hogan.
Recently, even Conor McGregor commented on his love for boxing and revealed he is not ruling it out.
The Notorious will definitely box again
At the Monaco Grand Prix event, Conor McGregor stated, “Boxing is my first love in combat sports. I had such a great time the last time I was out there,” about how much fun he had, despite losing against Floyd Mayweather, in his only professional boxing match.
The Irish superstar also commented, “for sure I will grace the squared circle again in the future.”

The Dubliner is on a break from Combat sports. After suffering a leg injury against Dustin Poirier in his last UFC fight. But his love for the ring may drag him back, especially considering a fellow Irishman offered him a shot at the IBO-super welterweight title.
Mystic Mac also stated he was on his way to full recovery and can’t wait to get back into action. “Boxing training is going well, [and] strength training. I am excited to get back.” said McGregor.
Looks like The UFC Superstar will make his way into boxing, based on his attitude towards the sport. Might even take up Hogan’s challenge for a title shot.
