“It’s Really Hard”- Francis Ngannou Makes a Confession to Joe Rogan About ‘Envisioning’ Tyson Fury Fight

It’s just a matter of days before the world will be holding its breath as two of the biggest names in combat sports clash for a ten-round boxing match. Despite being an exhibition match, the Francis Ngannou vs. Tyson Fury bout is one of the most anticipated matches of the year. There’s a looming anticipation as well as anxiety surrounding the match about whether the former UFC fighter can deliver a miraculous defeat to the British giant.

Francis Ngannou was the heavyweight champion before leaving UFC for good and he was no novice to the brutality of combat sports. However, ‘Predator’ is very much new to the world of boxing and to fight the best in the league will be even more challenging for him.

Francis Ngannou is very much confident about his fight with Tyson Fury and it can be seen by his eagerness to fight. The French-Cameroonian fighter has made it clear that he will not go down that easily even if his opponent is Fury. Ngannou in his pursuit to understand the deep core of boxing has added Mike Tyson to his camp.

In his most recent escapade, ‘The Predator’ had an interaction with Joe Rogan on his Podcast ‘JRE MMA Show’ #146. Rogan and Ngannou delved deep into the topic regarding Ngannou’s upcoming match. While having the conversation, Rogan asked Ngannou about his game plan. He added, “Without giving away too much of your strategy, how do you envision this fight taking place? Like what? You’ve never boxed a heavyweight like him before you obviously have tremendous skills and power. How do you envision this fight taking place? “‘

Ngannou, in his response, added that it’s rather difficult to envision the fight since Fury is unpredictable. “Well, it’s very hard to envision, you know. Sometimes I visualize the fight. Me there in the ring. I suppose I’m going to be in the blue corner, waiting for him to get in the ring,” said Ngannou.

He further added, ” He knows all this. He knows the size of the ring. He’s been there; he knows all the corners, how to move, how to cut everything. And I’m going to be there, figuring out how to cut the ring, you know. It’s really hard. I think I’ll just focus on being composed, you know. Don’t think about so much stuff. And I would like to knock out.” 

Despite Ngannou’s humble claim of a tough fight with Fury, Mike Tyson believes that Ngannou has the ability to clinch victory at the hands of Fury.

Mike Tyson is the man who is forging Francis Ngannou into a seasoned boxer. With ‘The baddest man on the planet’ by his side, there’s a surrounding optimistic energy in the camp. Ngannou has rather impressed Tyson with his skills. As per Tyson, ‘predator’ has surpassed everyone’s expectations by showcasing prodigious abilities.

Tyson adds “I am helping Ngannou. I am learning what he is able to do. He’s able to do so much more than I anticipated.” Tyson further added that Ngannou possesses such skills that he can knock out anyone in combat sports.
