Conor McGregor has called out the Jake Paul and Mike Tyson fight over the last few weeks much like many UFC pros, fighters, and fans. However, it looks like the young prizefighter has had enough of the trash talk and is certain that people are just jealous.
Paul believes that his boxing match will easily outsell the match that McGregor had with Floyd Mayweather. And now, he’s got a defense ready for the people he considers haters. However, perhaps the stats he’s putting out there are just a little bit off.

Jake Paul recently gave out a count of the number of articles written about Conor McGregor’s last fight announcement. Of course, the count wasn’t exactly accurate as pointed out by many people online. However, he does make an interesting point.

Calling out McGregor, Paul says, “So, Conor, you’re saying that interest’s low for the fight but the last fight you announced, there was a thousand articles written in a multiple-day span . . . you know people talking about your last fight. In that same multiple-day span, there was ten thousand articles written about this (Tyson vs. Paul).” He also called him an “oldhead” given how long he’s been in the sport.

Paul believes a thousand articles were written about McGregor’s last fight being announced which was him going up against Dustin Poirier when he infamously broke his shin. However, the number may have just been half of that give or take.
Is it true that his fight against Mike Tyson may be stacking up more? Maybe. There is no way to deny the magnitude of this boxing matchup. After all, it’s the return of one of the greatest heavyweights to ever grace the ring. Secondly, it’s also an odd matchup for many reasons.
Paul me lose either way?

Chael Sonnen had an interesting analysis of the situation. Jake Paul at 27 years old is taking on Tyson who will soon turn 58. He cannot lose to a veteran boxer who’s almost 60 or he would easily be crucified by everyone for losing to a much older boxer.
It’s also important to note that the said boxer is of course, Mike Tyson. He is everyone’s beloved boxer and him losing is not something anyone wants to see. Especially in a matchup that’s so polarizing given the age-gap. Clearly, Paul may face hatred either way.
