‘Jon Jones First’- Francis Ngannou Responds to Tyson Fury’s Call-Out

UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou took to social media and responded to a call-out recently made by the WBC champion. Boxing ace Tyson Fury issued a clear-cut challenge to Ngannou and offered him ‘Gypsy King money’ to scrap. Chiefly, this isn’t the first time Fury has come out and aimed at Ngannou, and it likely won’t be the last either.
Francis Ngannou let it be known that he would be happy to accept Fury’s challenge, however, it would be on his terms. ‘The Predator’ is on deck to defend his belt for the first time against consensus GOAT Jon Jones. That’s a massive fight for all involved, and Ngannou’s first priority remains getting Jones on board.

However, as it stands, Jon Jones isn’t seeing eye-to-eye with the UFC over the contractual specificities of that fight. Given the Ngannou is under contract with the UFC, he wouldn’t be able to simply sign up to battle Fury. However, Mayweather vs McGregor set a precedent in combat sports that anything is truly possible.

‘The Predator’ has garnered a lot of attention as of late, and his career-defining KO over Stipe Miocic was a game-changer. Ngannou knocked out Miocic in the second round and left no doubt that he’s the baddest man on the planet. However, ‘The Gypsy King’ believes he has a stake in that conversation and is keen to put a fight together.
Francis Ngannou has looked unstoppable as of late, and his punching power is virtually unparalleled in the UFC. Derrick Lewis is probably the only other elite fighter who can give Francis Ngannou a run for his money. However, Tyson Fury has stood across Deontay Wilder twice and faced him head-on to great success.
