UFC 287 is just days away and the excitement is building up in the MMA world. The co-main event features one of the most important welterweight bouts in the eyes of fans. Jorge Masvidal takes on Gilbert Burns in his hometown in Miami with high stakes. This may be a make-or-break fight for Masvidal as he is on the wrong end of his 30s.

With many eyes on the co-main event, many stars anticipated to have a stake in the bout. Masvidal is looking to shine at the UFC event and points out some flaws in his opponent in a recent interview.

The UFC welterweight looks confident ahead of his fight at UFC 287. The Miami-based fighter appeared in an interview on Michael Bisping’s podcast. Masvidal answered a question on how he thought he would end the fight.

‘Gamebred’ said he would do something different for this fight. He added, “Something different man. Little bit more special in its own way.”

He continued, “I see tendencies and a lot of trade-registered trademarks that does constant and he breaks the foundation of fighting you know. He doesn’t really like follow that infrastructure of like standup fighting.”

‘Gamebred’ said, “He does a lot of mistakes and constantly you know. He eats with his chin up often you know. So I just gotta show up and do my job and he’s gotta give it to me.”

Jorge Masvidal claims that Gilbert Burns is “not a poised guy”

‘Gamebred’ has started with his mind games ahead of the crucial fight against Burns. He added to his points, “And I just I’ve seen it numerous times he’s not a poised guy and that’s because of his nerves you know. He’s very nervous when he’s standing up so he’s throwing these bombs out of place out of timing with no real setup because he’s nervous.”

Furthermore, Masvidal claimed that Burns is uncomfortable with a striking style of MMA bout. He continued, “He just wants the fight not to be on the feet as hard he might throw in all that stuff. He feels so uncomfortable on the feet and this is where I’m most comfortable at. So I just got to let him do the work for me.”
