UFC star Jon Jones claimed the UFC gold at UFC 285 and completed his quest to claim the champion’s title at 265 lbs. Not only did he fulfill his decade-long promise of moving up, but also cemented his legacy as one of the greatest fighters in promotion history. Likewise, his credentials as GOAT got reaffirmed by UFC commentator Joe Rogan on the commentator’s desk. UFC star Holly Holm opined the same ahead of her awaited fight against Yana Santos on March 25. Furthermore, the bantamweight fighter also heaped praise on the heavyweight kingpin as she pointed out a quality that he shares with NFL legend Tom Brady.

Notably, the former UFC champion voiced her sentiments when she addressed the media on Thursday. The 41-year-old, who also recently emerged as a subject of UFC veteran Chael Sonnen’s theory, including her and Valentina Shevchenko, applauded the fighting acumen of ‘Bones’.

The former boxer thus said, “I think there’s a very few people in this sport that can really make waves like that; you know. You really can’t deny that… He’s got that ability to go on there and just win, you know. He’s very, very talented fighter.”

Following this, she expanded on her statement as she clarified she was neither a Buccaneer nor Patriot fan. But she was a fan of NFL star Tom Brady because the famed footballer liked to win. Also, the 14-6 record holder pointed out that another quarterback with a similar resume and 7 Super Bowls might not descend soon.

Afterward, the former kickboxer expressed what made the Albuquerque resident stand out.

Holm reveals Jones’ greatness as a champion stands out

Holm, later on, suggested that despite the debate of G.O.A.T., there were times when a champion stood out. The Rochester native was one such champion.

She continued and added, “And there’s greatness that stands out. So I think anybody can look at John’s career and admire that he gets in there. And he knows how to win.”
