A stern Ferguson took to Twitter to call out former Bellator champion and current #5 lightweight on the UFC roster Michael Chandler. This came after Chandler replied to a Tweet asking who should Conor McGregor fight upon his return with his own name.

Ferguson revealed the UFC’s plans to make a fight between the elite lightweights in April or June. As he observed ‘Iron’ eyeing a different bout. Notably, ‘El Cucuy’ also mentioned that he wants to take on Chandler for getting in line for the lightweight gold.

On the other hand, Michael Chandler is 1-2 in his UFC career. Notably, ‘Iron’ has been unable to register a win at the premier promotion after his victorious debut against Dan Hooker.

Rafael dos Anjos calls out Tony Ferguson as Michael Chandler eyes a different fight
After Ferguson and Chandler’s verbal spat, Rafael dos Anjos took the chance to call out Tony Ferguson. ‘RDA’ took to Twitter to call out ‘El Cucuy’, while his future opponent aspires to fight the ‘Notorious’ Conor McGregor.

Anjos is currently the #6 lightweight on the roster, the Brazilian last fought in 2020 at UFC Fight Night 182, where he defeated Paul Felder via a split decision. The 37-year-old is currently 30-13 in his MMA career.
At present, Ferguson is on a 3 fight losing streak ever since he lost to Justin Gaethje back in May 2020 and then Charles Oliveira and Beneil Dariush. At present, the 37-year-old is 25-6 in his professional MMA career.
