The UFC lightweight division is one of the most talent-stacked divisions in the company. With the lightweight belt now vacant, many fighters are eyeing the opportunity to face number 1 contender Charles Oliveira for it. One such fighter is Beneil Dariush. However, Dariush has been a subject of verbal attacks from Conor McGregor. Recently, Beneil Dariush gave his thoughts on Conor McGregor.

Dariush said, “Find yourself somebody who will protect you like Marvin protects me… Where did that come from? What did I do to that guy? I will just take his, the fact that he deleted as a form of apology.”
He further added, “But no, I was thinking about it. To be honest with you, I feel for the guy. Because, like, man, he has been fighting the last couple of years and hasn’t been going so well.”
“If I was in his position, man it would be horrible because, one, the thing that makes you who you are fighting like you got to understand, that’s who he is. You can see it in the way he speaks, the way he talks. That’s who he is. So, it’s got to be hard for him.”

While Beneil Dariush makes this statement, it is important to note that McGregor had recently made a statement against Dariush on his Twitter account.

Fans know Conor McGregor for his outspoken nature. Over the years, McGregor has been known for not mincing his words. In a similar instance, ‘The Notorious’ fired back at Beneil Dariush.

It all started when Dariush expressed his unhappiness over Charles Oliveira, wanting to fight Conor McGregor over him. Dariush said that ‘Do Bronx’ is speaking about wanting to fight McGregor while he himself used to speak about these guys, never giving him a shot when he was outside the top five.
Following this, Conor McGregor took a dig at Beneil Dariush. ‘The Notorious’ said, “Beneil Dariush is the biggest nobody in the company.”
While McGregor bashed Dariush. there is a huge possibility of the two fighting against each other in the future. Both McGregor and Dariush are big names in the lightweight division and a fight between them will excite the fans.
