Conor McGregor has his fans itching for his octagon return. After suffering the gruesome injury in the Dustin Poirier trilogy fight in July 2021, ‘The Notorious’ has been out of action and was focused on recovering.

However, in the past few months, McGregor has shown signs of improvement in his health. The Irishman constantly uploads his sparring footage where fans observe his speedy recovery. Moreover, it also gets them excited about his in-ring return.

Nevertheless, the big question still remains: who should McGregor face next? Although the Irishman has been called out by many fighters in lightweight, he seems to be interested in fighting up a division. Moreover, he even dropped a hint on his Twitter that he was eyeing a return to welterweight.

Henry Cejudo’s matchmaking for Conor McGregor

While, many experts are busy matchmaking Mystic Mac’s return fight, his McGregor’s rival, and former UFC champ, Henry Cejudo found himself in the same spot. The king of cringe took to his social media and revealed his take on the best return fight for the fighter.

Cejudo’s list included the five best opponents for McGregor. However, the number one amongst all of them was the BMF champion, Jorge Masvidal.

Triple C said, “this is a good fight for Conor McGregor. Why? Is because there’s no grappling involved. You want guys that can strike and want to strike and don’t wanna grapple.”

He further added, “plus Jorge Masvidal is, he hasn’t won a fight in… I think, I think he’s on a two or three-fight losing streak something like that. I don’t know if I could be wrong, but I think Jorge Masvidal will be the best return for him. 170 pounds, they both have a mouthpiece. Just imagine how many PPVs they could sell.”
