The MMA and combat sports fans in general witnessed an inspiring video on the internet. Just last month, a woman from Tampa, Florida was attacked in the gym. The woman was identified as Nashali Alma. The attacker was 25-year-old Xavier Thomas-Jones. The story took an inspiring turn when the woman fought the attacker for 8 minutes, after which eventually she was able to dial 911 and get help.

She received a response from the Sheriff’s department for her bravery. Moreover, after a month, Alma gets recognition for her inspiring act in the gym. The fans have given their reaction to the viral video circulating on the internet.

The internet audience was amazed at the viral video of bravery. The fans reacted to the video that was published by WFLA News Channel 8. One fan wrote, “The strength and stamina that is built from training pays off mentally, physically and emotionally. I’m proud of her and glad she is okay”.

Another commented, “Wow, amazing. I’m sorry this happened to her, but she not only did a great thing for herself by fighting him off, but did a great thing for the community. She’s amazing.”

Moreover, after a month after the incident took place, Alma is getting recognition from the Sheriff’s department. She said, “I was ready to cry with tears of joy and happiness that I was able to inspire everyone… Everyone is so proud of me, they’re calling me a hero…It was just so overwhelming. I am just so happy.”

The Sheriff’s department commended her bravery in the gym. They said labeled the act as “courage and determination to never give up”.
