‘Brave’ Young Woman, Who Fought Off 25-Year-Old Gym Attacker All by Herself, Gets Honored by Sheriff

The MMA and combat sports fans in general witnessed an inspiring video on the internet. Just last month, a woman from Tampa, Florida was attacked in the gym. The woman was identified as Nashali Alma. The attacker was 25-year-old Xavier Thomas-Jones. The story took an inspiring turn when the woman fought the attacker for 8 minutes, after which eventually she was able to dial 911 and get help.

She received a response from the Sheriff’s department for her bravery. Moreover, after a month, Alma gets recognition for her inspiring act in the gym. The fans have given their reaction to the viral video circulating on the internet.

She said, “I was ready to cry with tears of joy and happiness that I was able to inspire everyone… Everyone is so proud of me, they’re calling me a hero…It was just so overwhelming. I am just so happy.”

The Sheriff’s department commended her bravery in the gym. They said labeled the act as “courage and determination to never give up”.
