Nobel Peace Prize nominee Greta Thunberg is one of the most recognizable environmental activists in the world. She recently posted a tweet regarding the increasing danger of the climate crisis. However, UFC star Sean Strickland got right back to her with a reply on the social media platform.

At only 20 years of age, she has accumulated several accolades and awards with regard to her work on climate change. She is a highly regarded personality in the world, who is known for challenging world leaders to work toward climate change mitigation. However, this time, a UFC star confronted her instead of a world leader.

Greta Thunberg tweets about people in power taking improper steps toward the climate crisis

The Nobel Prize nominee took to Twitter to express her dissatisfaction with the people in power over their actions to contain the climate crisis. Thunberg wrote: “It is getting even more impossible to ignore the climate crisis. The fact that people in power still somehow live in denial, and actively move in the wrong direction, will eventually be seen for and understood as the unprecedented betrayal it is. It is just a matter of time.”

Greta Thunberg slammed the concerned authorities on their negligence towards the climate crisis. She also mentions that it is only a matter of time before things get sour. However, Sean Strickland retorted to Thunberg with a tweet of his own.

Sean Strickland blasts Greta Thunberg on her recent tweet

‘Tarzan’ didn’t hold back in his reply to the young environmental activist. He told her to reflect on her own actions before tweeting out. Strickland wrote: “Yo retard you’re literally using a phone as we speak… A phone made in some polluting factory in China, lithium that takes massive amount of water and waste.” 

Strickland mentioned how the smartphone she was using also contained a substance that causes too much water usage, i.e., lithium. He then made an unusual request by asking the Twitter community. He wrote: “Can we please just throw this idiot in a forest somewhere….”

The UFC fraternity often considers Sean Strickland a loose cannon due to his controversial statements and opinions. He is also famous for his deranged posts on social media and his improper tendencies in trying to knock out his sparring partners whenever he’s involved in training.
