UFC commentator Joe Rogan, known for his hot takes on his podcast ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ is also recognized for being a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The 55-year-old is an avid martial arts fan. And doesn’t hold himself back when it comes to appreciating other personalities in the world of combat sports.

In a recent post on his Instagram, Rogan put up a video of legendary kickboxer Ernesto Hoost while posing the question of why the former K1 World champion’s Instagram handle was not yet verified. Tagged on the caption was also Mark Zuckerberg, who Rogan urged to look into the matter.

Joe Rogan helps Ernesto Hoost get his account officially verified on Instagram

Joe Rogan undoubtedly has a deep admiration for fighters who left an impact on the sport. And Ernesto Hoost is definitely someone he clearly appreciates and respects. Fans and critics of the sport consider Hoost one of the best strikers to have competed. Also, the same was obvious from the post made by the UFC commentator. 

His caption read:A true martial arts legend and absolutely one of the greatest kickboxers of all time, but for some reason, Instagram has denied Ernesto Hoost’s request to be verified. PLEASE, Mark Zuckerberg and Instagram can we sort this out for the man?”

His adoration for the 57-year-old kickboxer can also be traced back to 2016. Rogan back then posted an appreciation video of Hoost’s technique of setting up his leg kick with a lead hook. The Podcaster and stand-up comedian even called it the benchmark for all others to be compared to.

Ernesto Hoost is considered among the best kickboxer, with a total of 62 knockouts in his illustrious career. With wins over names like Mirko Cro Cop, Ray Sefo, and Mark Hunt, among others, he is considered among the finest kickboxers of all time.

Following Rogan’s post, Hoost thanked the UFC commentator in the comment section; to help him get his verification done swiftly. He posted a ‘thank you’ followed by a folded hands emoji to show his appreciation toward the 55-year-old. Ultimately, this was an extremely sweet gesture from Rogan on behalf of a legendary athlete; fans would certainly admire the successful podcaster even more.

Eventually, Joe Rogan was successful in getting the Dutch kickboxer’s Instagram account verified pretty fast. Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg has been a guest on Rogan’s podcast and has admitted to being an avid combat sports fan himself.

Was it his relationship with Mark Zuckerberg that made it so easy? For fans, it doesn’t matter as Hoost will continue to be admired with or without any social media blue ticks.
