UFC 286 will be hosted in London, England. The event is headlined by the trilogy between Kamaru Usman and Leon Edwards for the UFC welterweight championship. The event is set to take place in the infamous O2 arena, the same venue that hosted UFC Fight Night in March 2022. The prices in that event were $108.43 or £88.

However, the fans have noticed a sharp rise in the prices of this event which is at $277.86 or £225.50 for the same seat. Thus, fans have voiced their concern about the rise in ticket prices in the UFC event. Moreover, Edwards also was unhappy seeing such a significant rise in ticket prices.

Leon Edwards criticizes the UFC ticket prices

Leon Edwards disclosed in an interview with Ariel Helwani on ‘The MMA Hour’ that he didn’t understand the pricing of the UFC tickets. He said, “For me, I don’t understand why they’re so high… I think ringside before it went on sale, was like four thousand pounds or dollars. That’s a lot of money, you know?” Edwards also stated that the prices could have been justified if the fighter’s pay was also increased.

Furthermore, the UFC welterweight champion added, “People have been messaging me saying, ‘Why is it so expensive?’ I’m like, ‘Mate, I’m not making the prices.’

‘Rocky’ also stated that it is not good for the fans who cannot afford the high prices of the tickets. Furthermore, he said that the event will be good regardless of the pricing.

Peter Carroll posted on his Twitter account about the ‘scandalous’ prices of UFC London tickets. He also detailed about reselling of the tickets at higher rates which has caused loss to the mainstream MMA fans.
