Charles Oliveira Predicts First Round Knockout Finish Against Michael Chandler at UFC 262

Michael Chandler fights Charles Oliveira at UFC 262 this weekend. ‘Iron’ will make his second appearance inside the Octagon against ‘Do Bronx’. He knocked out Dan Hooker at UFC 257 to make his promotional debut in an emphatic fashion. Now he fights for the belt against an omnipresent Brazilian in Oliveira.
‘Do Bronx’ has been a UFC fighter since 2010. However, his star has never shone brighter than in recent times. After a struggling run at the featherweight division of the UFC, Oliveira decided to move up a weight class to lightweight. That decision has served him very well as he is currently on a 8-fight winning streak in the UFC’s 155 lbs division.

Oliveira has a bold prediction for his first-ever title fight in the UFC. “Honestly? Do you want me to be honest? I think this guy will be knocked out in the first round,” said ‘Do Bronx’ in the UFC 262 countdown video. It’s a bold call from the Brazilian, to say the least.
Chandler has been a multiple-time Bellator MMA lightweight champion. Now he can officially solidify his status as the no.1 lightweight on the planet with a win over Oliveira. But his opponent is also determined more than ever. He will look to stop Chandler’s dreams of becoming a UFC champion.
‘Do Bronx’ added two marquee names in Tony Ferguson and Kevin Lee to his list of wins in his last two outings. A win against Chandler will see the Brazilian reach unprecedented status as a superstar fighter.

Can Charles Oliveira keep up to his promise against Michael Chandler?
Oliveira is primarily known for his submission expertise. He is a wizard on the mat and can submit his opponents from any position. He holds the record for most submissions in the history of the UFC. However, his recently improved striking has been a great weapon for him as well.
Many believe it would be hard for ‘Do Bronx’ to dominate the ground game against a decorated grappler like ‘Iron‘. He certainly has the technical striking to fall back to in case his primary strength is nullified. Nevertheless, fans are in for a treat this weekend as UFC 262 gets closer.
