UFC 272 will witness one of the biggest fights soon. Colby Covington versus Jorge Masvidal is the perfect fight for the promotion as well as the fans. In the wake of such an exciting bout, Michael Bisping provided his thoughts on it.

Bisping did a poll, and according to its results, Covington has emerged as the favorite. Because of this, the retired fighter couldn’t help but compare this upcoming bout with Masvidal’s previous fights against Askren and Darren Till.

Bisping said, “Colby is a three to one favorite, which is absolutely crazy and we did a poll on here as well. … 80 percent of you guys picked Covington to win and 30 percent of them actually picked Colby to win via KO. As I said, Jorge has only been KO’ed once, and that was 14 years ago.”

“So coming into this, Jorge is a three to one underdog. But he’s no stranger to that. I mean, come on, as I said, he’s fought 50 times. So a lot of that time, you’re going to be an underdog. When he fought Ben Askren… when he knocked him out in 5 seconds, I think it was the fastest knockout in UFC history. … Ben Askren was a three to one favorite. Three to one favorite, and we know how that ended.”

Similarly, during his bout against Darren Till, Masvidal was again the underdog. So Bisping sees some similar shades in the upcoming bout. Even though ‘Gamebred’ wasn’t the favorite fighter in his previous fights, he shocked everyone. Hence, anything could happen at UFC 272.
