Conor McGregor’s ‘Knox’ Tattoos in ‘Road House’; Story Behind UFC Star’s New Inks

Conor McGregor is all set to return to the Octagon after a gap of more than three years. The former two-division champion is busy putting in the hard yards in training. In his comeback fight, he will most likely face his long-time rival, Michael Chandler. However, the UFC has not announced the fight yet.

McGregor used this time to make his Hollywood debut with ‘Road House,’ alongside Jake Gyllenhaal. He surprised everyone with his looks and even changed his tattoos. The fans were quick to spot the difference. But what changes did he make? Let us find out.

Very few athletes in the world have the style and charisma of Conor McGregor. McGregor played the role of ‘Knox’ in the movie and surprised the fans with his beefed-up look. Not only did he put on a good amount of muscle for the role, but also got himself inked. ‘Mystic Mac’ has tattoos all around his body, from his neck (Winged Crucifix) to his heel (Arabic Writing). One of McGregor’s eye-catching tattoos is the Tiger on his abdomen, which he got inked in Venice.

He also has a second tattoo on his abdomen, which has his name (McGregor) and nickname (Notorious). However, the Dubliner changed the tattoo for his latest role in ‘Road House’. During the trailer of the movie, fans observed a tattoo change on his abdomen of ‘Knox Knox Knox’ (McGregor’s character) with the use of CGI. McGregor played the role opposite Jake Gyllenhaal and looked at ease in front of the camera. Hollywood A-lister Gyllenhaal played the role of Dalton (a retired UFC fighter), and the movie has done well after its release.

Conor McGregor reveals the secret behind his latest movie character

Conor McGregor’s Hollywood debut has been nothing short of a dream. According to the reports, the movie has gathered a stunning 50 Million worldwide views in the first two weeks. They released the motion picture on Amazon Prime, and the fans have relished watching the 35-year-old in a completely new role. ‘Mystic Mac’ recently took to his social media to detail his talked-about character. He also conveyed information regarding the accessories he used in the movie to give his character a hint of his style.

McGregor put in a lot of effort for the role, which was evident from his social media posts. He also shared the behind-the-scenes details with his fans. However, in a recent Instagram story, McGregor shared the thought process behind his character. He shared a picture of his back tattoo from the film as his Instagram story with the caption, “I carry the highland mountains on my back. Yup, The McGregor clan. Ya know us. Ambush. The specialty. S’rioghail Mo Dhream Ard Choille!”
