UFC president Dana White did not have the best start to 2023. White has been the target of several negative backlashes from fans for various reasons. The 53-year-old’s latest stunt is the latest on the list to receive ire from the fans. However, this time White may have invited it on purpose with his comments.
The UFC head honcho was embroiled in controversy after a camera caught him slapping his wife publicly. The altercation that went down on New year’s eve caused a huge uproar with many crying for White’s blood.

To add insult to injury, his latest venture, Power Slap League, also infuriated a large section of the UFC fanbase. Many of them did not appreciate UFC’s social handles promoting the slap competition. However, these promotions did little to help the show, as viewership numbers also struggled to show any improvements.

Nevertheless, White has been steadfast in his promotion of the Power Slap League and refuses to let his critics dissuade him. In a recent video posted on Twitter, White had another message about Power Slap. At the same time, he also took shots at his critics beforehand by shooting down potential criticisms that might come his way. Despite his nonchalance, the internet found ways to hit back at White. Again.
Dana White faces backlash for insensitive comments
White recently went live on his social media to promote Power Slap. He mentioned a code that would pop up on television during the airing of the show. The code would allow lucky fans to watch the live Power Slap event in March and give them a chance to hang out with White.
White explained all of this via a live stream while driving his car without his seatbelts on. He made snarky remarks at fans who pointed it out in the comments. He said, “Yes, I’m driving and live. I know some of you guys will be f**king crying about that, ‘Oh he’s driving and he’s live and he doesn’t have his seat belt on either.’ F***ing boo hoo.”
However, these comments only set off fans even more. They came after White with a series of creative insults.
