Believe it or not, UFC President Dana White is one of the harshest critics of his prospects. The 52-year-old never shies away from unloading on his fighters and to get in his good books is a rather tedious task.

Recently, in a conversation with Adam Catterall of BT Sports, White said, “I was talking about how all these people don’t wanna fight Khamzat Chimaev. Let’s not forget Leon Edwards said yes. When Leon Edwards was next in line for a title, Leon Edwards accepted that fight. Then Khamzat got hit with COVID and all that stuff happened, so I wanted to clarify,”.
“We were talking about that in the matchmaking meeting the other day and I keep saying nobody will fight him. Leon Edwards accepted that fight and signed the bout agreement.”
‘Rocky’ vs ‘Borz’ was set to go down in 2020. This was ages before names like Neil Magny and Gilbert Burns stepped up.

Not only has White noticed ‘Rocky’s grit, but the President also has recognized the Briton’s exceptional career as well. Recently, in an interview with TSN Network, White revealed what he had in store for the #3 welterweight as he confirmed Edwards is next for the title shot.

“100% yeah, that kid had a rough run. He deserves it. If you look at it, Colby lost to him twice, Gilbert’s lost, Leon’s next, he is number 3,” said White.
