According to ‘The American Gangster’, UFC president Dana White wanted to remake the fight, but Joe Rogan advised him not to. “Dana White walks into a press conference, says he was about to remake Benny versus Islam, but Joe Rogan told him not to,” said Sonnen.

Sonnen also claimed that the Russian has gone heel. With the spotlight on Conor McGregor, Islam Makhachev is in a tight spot, according to the UFC veteran. “Islam Makhachev has gone heel. When you see him, feel free to boo him,” Sonnen said.
