What is Sober October?

Sober October‘ requires an individual to give up drinking and getting intoxicated in any manner, for the entire month of October. This was initially started out as a fundraising campaign for ‘Macmillan Cancer Support’ in the UK.

The idea was, the sum individuals save up during the month of October from not spending it on drinking or any other intoxicating substances, they donate it to the cause. It further became a common thing around the world as a practice to detoxify themselves for a month. And Joe Rogan is one of its followers.
