Former UFC welterweight Diego Sanchez took to social media and chimed in on the recent antics of Conor McGregor. In the eyes of some, McGregor has gone off the rails since his TKO loss via Doctor’s stoppage at UFC 264. The Irishman has been extremely active on Twitter and he’s gone after his former opponents in Dustin Poirier and Khabib Nurmagomedov.
However, McGregor’s verbal barbs are being considered to be below the belt by some fans and fellow fighters. Conor McGregor has gone after Dustin Poirier’s wife and more recently, trolled Khabib Nurmagomedov’s late father Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov in a now-deleted tweet. His actions have caused many to speak out against him and Sanchez ripped McGregor for his Twitter tirades.

Conor McGregor: Can he pull things together?
The Irishman has always been a polarizing figure in MMA, however, some feel he’s truly taken things too far. His comments about Khabib Nurmagomedov’s father were considered to be in extremely poor taste by a large majority of fans.
Not to mention, there seems to be a general belief that what was once light-hearted banter by McGregor has now turned dark. Furthermore, his performances inside the octagon have been less than stellar, to say the least.

The general consensus is that Conor McGregor will have to return to winning ways if he is going to turn heel. He’s not won a fight at lightweight since he secured the strap 155-pound strap from Eddie ‘The Underground King’ Alvarez back in 2016. His only notable win since then was a 40-second beat down of Donald Cerrone.
