Alexander Volkanovski might be the greatest featherweight fighter in the world ever. The Australian featherweight champion dominated Max Holloway in the trilogy bout and put on a show for the fight fans at UFC 276. ‘The Great‘ lived up to his moniker and closed the ‘Blessed‘ chapter with a definitive statement.

The two best featherweight fighters stepped inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. But the CKB and Freestyle Fighting gym representative proved he’s on a different level than the rest of the division, including the 30-year-old, Max Holloway.

The 33-year-old continued his remarkable winning streak with a complete shutdown of the Hawaiian athlete. Subsequently, the champion will proudly bring back his UFC title to Australia.

As far as Holloway, the Gracie Technics standout now has lost three straight title bouts to the champion. Thus, perhaps a move up the division to 155lbs and a fresh start will be best for him. Besides, taking damage over the course of five rounds, he should take a little time off, which will also help him in building muscle for the lightweight division.

The timing could be perfect for the featherweight king, as there’s no champion in the lightweight division. Thus, a bout between him and Charles Oliveira for the vacant title in a mega contest could make perfect sense for the UFC.
