Dustin Poirier is undoubtedly one of the top fighters in the promotion right now. The Louisiana native has beaten the likes of Justin Gaethje, Conor McGregor, and Dan Hooker. As of January 2022, the fighter stands eighth in the UFC men’s pound for pound rankings.
The second-ranked lightweight is coming off a recent loss to the reigning UFC lightweight champion, Charles Oliveira. As it was his second consecutive title fight defeat, many picked up on his comments from the interviews and assumed that he would move up to the welterweight division.
He recently took to Twitter to tease fans about his possible next bout.

As the two have been going back and forth with each other on Twitter, it is quite possible that we will see them take each other on this year.
