Conor McGregor is famous not only for his fighting and lavish lifestyle, but also for calling out fighters and challenging them all. Before Islam Makhachev’s win over Charles Oliveira at UFC 280, McGregor dismissed Makhachev’s win at UFC Fight Night over Bobby Green, which got him into the Oliveira fight.

After defeating Bobby Green, Makhachev entered for a chance at the title shot against Charles Oliveira. But ‘The Notorious’ couldn’t take it. Conor McGregor rejected Makhachev’s performance, stating that there was no sign of injury on Green’s body.

Conor McGregor’s dismissal of Islam Makhachev’s victory over Bobby Green
At the time, ‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor mentioned on Twitter, “I’ll fight that s**t-stain makchavich, no sweat. Embarrassing g’n’g the other night imo”. Additionally, he wrote, “Pitiful punching and then bottles the [Rafael dos Anjos] fight after mounting off him lol. Embarrassing. Watch when I come back. Same as before. Anyone. Any weight. Anywhere. Game full of s**t stains.”

McGregor was not happy with Islam Makhachev’s victory over Bobby Green. He claimed he couldn’t see any damage to Green, although he was finished a bit too soon.

McGregor quoted, “Full mount g’n’p and the guy bounces up not a scratch, hugging and kissing.”
“Am I the only one that sees this stuff for what it is or what’s the craic ? Not a scratch, man. Embarrassing!”, the 34-year-old wrote.

Makhachev’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz, took no time in responding to McGregor’s call. “Makhachev will submit you under one round”, he replied, “You don’t have a chance.”
Islam Makhachev refused to call out Conor McGregor
Recently, Makhachev gave a cold shoulder to Conor McGregor’s return to the UFC.

“He is always in the Twitter because people almost forget him, you know”, said Makhachev.
The new lightweight champion then said, “I don’t believe he’s gonna come back. Every fighters try to call him after. I’m not gonna call him after the fight, because I want to fight with real fighters who deserve the title.”

Makhachev is indeed Khabib Nurmagomedov’s prodigy. His grappling skills are far superior. With a record of 23-1-0, he is set to make his name stand out in history. The Lightweight champion is destined to cross paths with ‘The Notorious’. When that happens, all eyes would be on the Octagon.
