‘Pardon My Take’ by Barstool sports is a popular podcast that comes out thrice a week. The podcast is hosted by Dan ‘Big cat’ Katz and PFT commenter. The podcast has 422 K subscribers on YouTube. Two years ago, the show had hosted American stand-up comedian, podcaster, and television personality Theo Vonn as guest.

A lot of things were discussed between the trio, including soccer, hating dogs, and Game of Thrones. The trio talked about podcasting and naturally stumbled upon Joe Rogan.
Theo Vonn expressed he felt Rogan took the best interviews. He said Rogan could do that because he was “genuinely curious”. He said Joe Rogan continued to be curious about things he didn’t even like and that’s why he was so good with interviews.

Theo Vonn compared Rogan to a golden retriever who wasn’t scared of doing DMT. He then added, “He’s become like a planet. He has a point of view, but he doesn’t seem very judgmental.”

Rogan is a planet?
Vonn further added that Rogan doesn’t tell people how they should vote. What they should think or how they should live their lives.PFT commenter (Eric Sollenbarker) asked Theo Vonn about what he means when he says Rogan is a planet. To this Theo Vonn replied, “He’s become like a planet, there is more information. Remember, Pluto used to be a planet, and then it wasn’t.”

Dan Katz suggested it was Joe Rogan that took Pluto’s place. Theo Vonn then went on praising Rogan and said, “You catch Joe in the right light, you can see a moon in the distance.” Vonn then explained why Rogan has become a symbol of free voice, “Not so controlled by just a couple or a few channels.”

As a UFC commentator, Rogan is highly-sought after in the promotion. Fans love to watch his reactions to fights. Plus, his podcast and sand up career have established his name in the mainstream.
