Colby Covington continues to receive heat for his comments about Jon Anik. The welterweight star insinuated death threats to the commentator in a recent interview. His reason behind the controversial comments was Anik’s association with fellow welterweight Belal Muhammad. Covington did not mince words and called Anik a racist for colluding with Muhammad, who is also a racist in his eyes.

Covington has been under fire from all directions since the interview. Now Muhammad himself has come forward with a response to “Chaos.” The #4 ranked welterweight wants an apology out of Covington for his comments, even if he has to beat it out of him.

During a recent interview with Marc Raimondi, “Remember The Name” made his intentions for Covington clear. What’s more, the 34-year-old is planning to take a page out of Khabib Nurmagomedov‘s book to deal with Covington if he has to.

Belal Muhammad’s plan for Colby Covington

In his threat to Anik, Colby Covington said he did not want Anik’s kids to grow up without a father. He accused Anik of being partial in his job and for cheering for “racist” Belal Muhammad behind Covington’s back.

In response to these comments, Muhammad said, “I have three brothers. When you have a brother, you want to protect them at all costs. If somebody picks on your brother, you’re gonna step in. I was always that kid.”

He continued, “Now, Jon [Anik], I can say that he’s a close brother and it’s like now I want to go to Miami and I want to make Colby apologize to him. The same way that Khabib walked up to Artem and slapped him, that’s what I’m gonna do to Colby Covington if I see him.”

The welterweight added, “I’m gonna make him apologize to Jon Anik and he will do that cause that’s what he is. He’s a coward, and if you’re in his face, he’s not gonna talk this tough talk. He’s not gonna have this act because it’s gonna be real now.”
