Colby Covington continues to receive heat for his comments about Jon Anik. The welterweight star insinuated death threats to the commentator in a recent interview. His reason behind the controversial comments was Anik’s association with fellow welterweight Belal Muhammad. In response to these comments, Muhammad said, “I have three brothers. When you have a brother, you want to protect them at all costs. If somebody picks on your brother, you’re gonna step in. I was always that kid.”

He continued, “Now, Jon [Anik], I can say that he’s a close brother and it’s like now I want to go to Miami and I want to make Colby apologize to him. The same way that Khabib walked up to Artem and slapped him, that’s what I’m gonna do to Colby Covington if I see him.”
The welterweight added, “I’m gonna make him apologize to Jon Anik and he will do that cause that’s what he is. He’s a coward, and if you’re in his face, he’s not gonna talk this tough talk. He’s not gonna have this act because it’s gonna be real now.”
