‘The Notorious‘ started his UFC career with a bang, winning his first seven fights for the promotion. Moreover, he lost his first fight in his eighth battle in the octagon which was against Nate Diaz. However, he won his second fight against the ‘Stockton Slugger’ with a majority decision.

Furthermore, McGregor became the first fighter to win two division titles simultaneously with his win over Eddie Alvarez. Everything was going smoothly for the ‘Mystic Mac’ until he faced Floyd Mayweather. He felt there was a challenge good enough for him and he decided to pursue a multi-million boxing fight against ‘Money’. After his loss against him, everything has gone downhill in his career and personal life.

Conor McGregor slips out of the top 15 UFC lightweight fighter rankings

Once the number one ranked fighter for both lightweight and bantamweight divisions has now slipped far behind. McGregor surprisingly has found himself outside the top 15 lightweight fighters ranking.

As per John Morgan, Editor-in-chief of the UG and host of the MMA Road Show podcast, McGregor is no longer featured in the official rankings. He wrote, “McGregor has dropped out of the top 15, though he is in pool of athletes eligible to be ranked by the panel.“
