“Happy” Ciryl Gane Reveals How Tai Tuivasa Fight Made Him “Dangerous Fighter” Ahead of Jon Jones Clash: “This Mindset Is Really Important”

As UFC 285 comes closer, the excitement is building up. The event’s main card will feature #1 light heavyweight Ciryl Gane go against Jon ‘Bones’ Jones. Jon Jones has been away from the fighting cage for almost three years now and when he makes a comeback, he will have all his fans behind him. Jones is a proven performer. He is expected to give a dazzling performance at UFC 285. While it might be convenient to feel that Jones is the favorite, fans will not write off the French fighter. Ciryl Gane is known for the speed he has in the Light heavyweight division. His ranking justifies his fighting prowess, and he looks pretty confident going in for UFC 285.

In a recent interview with UFC Ciryl Gane talked about how important the mindset was for his preparation. The fighter was really proud of his victory in France against Tai Tuivasa. What makes the win more important is that he was coming out of a loss he suffered against Francis Ngannou. Gane told UFC how he was a ‘happy fighter’.

Ciryl Gane talks about his mindset for UFC 285

Talking about how he was a “happy” and “dangerous” fighter, Gane said, “Before Francis (Ngannou), I was just a young guy, fighting just to be happy,” Gane said. “I am still like that, which I think is really important. A happy fighter is a dangerous fighter, so to stay like that with this mindset is really important. I am more mature, and now I know I want to go to the belt.”

Talking further about his experience of fighting in front of his home crowd, Cyril Gane said, “It was really crazy, and it was really important,” Gane said. “After Francis, after I lost, it was very important to get a win and we did, so that’s why I am really happy. It was a plus to be in front of my crowd, my fans, my family, my friends. It made it really special.”

On one hand, UFC 285’s main event will give Jon Jones an opportunity to come back with a bang. On the other hand, it will give Gane an opportunity to dent the career record of one of the most prolific fighters of recent times.

Fans will expect both fighters to come out firing on all cylinders. Jon Jones is currently sitting at 26 wins 1 loss record. Gane, on the other hand, is on a record that reads 11-1. None of the fighters will be willing to add another count to their losing record. Whatever transpires at UFC 285, fans should rest assured that they will get to see a lot of action.
