The pack of noted stand-up comics and podcasters, Ari Shaffir, Tom Segura, and Bert Kreischer, joined Rogan on one such episode. Joe Rogan’s story teaches that size doesn’t determine the outcome of a fight

It was Ari Shaffir who initially brought this fight story up for discussion. He stated, “What about the hotel room? The hotel hallway”. Rogan’s guests already seemed to have an idea about his story. Bert Kreischer exclaimed in excitement, “That’s my favorite story ever”

Rogan finally turned on his storyteller mode. He started off, “We were at this hard rock hotel and it’s Tait, me, and Eddie Bravo. And then there’s this really big dude. And this big dude is in the hallway he’s like 6’6”, fu**in’ athlete you know, like obviously everyone was scared of him.”

The former Fear Factor host continued, “And you know, Tait’s a big guy himself, he fought in the Ultimate Fighter, Tait’s a legit Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt”.

After a mistake, Rogan described the actual incident, narrating, “Tait went inside. Our rooms were connected, so he goes inside the room and the guy is trying to use his key on Tait’s door.”

After an altercation, Tait closed the door saying, “I don’t know what to tell you, bye”. The 55-year-old went on to state that “the guy is pounding on the door.

Rogan stated how all three of them went to the hallway, where the big dude started trash-talking. He quoted the guy saying, “I’ll f**k you up and this and that,” but Rogan managed to get things under control by negotiating and sending them off.

Eddie Bravo’s taunts destroyed the negotiations by Joe Rogan

The JRE host stated, Eddie literally caused the guy to come back up”. He continued, “So this dumb guy comes back up and he literally steps to Tait taking a swing at him.”

But Tait, being a trained martial artist and a UFC TUF 3 contestant, “grabbed him, pulled guard and put him in an Omoplata”. Rogan also described that the security guard had arrived at the juncture, and he seemed to know Rogan. The former martial artist quoted the security guard saying, Hey… Stop Stop Stop”, then he goes, are you Joe Rogan?”. Rogan then quoted himself, “Yeah? What’s up? How’re you doin’ man?”

Rogan further described his words to the security guard, “don’t worry”, he’s not gonna hurt him”, he’ll just strangle him unconscious and put him to sleep”, and actually compelled Tait to transition to a rear-naked choke from the Omoplata. Rogan mentioned, “Tait just puts him to sleep, out cold”.
