Justin Gaethje details about fighting Jorge Masvidal

Justin Gaethje was talking at a Q&A in Sydney. During the session, he was asked about his take on fighting Masvidal to defend his BMF belt. ‘The Highlight’ said, “Sounds fun, But I have one goal, it’s the undisputed championship. I have plenty of time after that to fight those fights. I don’t think [Masvidal is] ever coming back. He looks like he weighs 240 pounds. I fight at 155 pounds. I’m sure he’d want to fight at 170.

Gaethje currently sits at the #2 spot in the lightweight rankings, behind former champion Charles Oliveira and current champion Islam Makhachev. After his stellar performance against Poirier, Gaethje is in a spot where he can choose to sit and wait for his shot at the title. Additionally, he can also entertain high-profile fights against the likes of Masvidal and Conor McGregor, thanks to the glamorous BMF belt.

But the 34-year-old has his eyes set on the prize and is not in the mood to entertain anything else.
