Conor McGregor has his fans excited once again. And this time, he’s doing more than just sending out hints. ‘The Notorious’ could not make it in time for this year’s pay-per-views. However, the picture for next year looks very different. The fighter has ensured that he gets things done on time and just recently, he confirmed the juicy details of what might go down soon.

Fans and enthusiasts are beyond thrilled for McGregor vs. Michael Chandler. Since McGregor missed his chance to enter a USADA testing pool earlier this year, the fight couldn’t happen. However, now, in a clear Twitter post, the fighter has confirmed sending his samples in. He also revealed a little something about his training plans and in his classic style, divided the internet in no time.

Conor McGregor spent a lot of his time recovering from his health. The fighter infamously broke his shin in his fight against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. The gruesome fight was stopped via doctor’s stoppage and Poirier was declared the default winner. Since then, McGregor has been fully out of action. But that won’t last long now.

The fighter earlier hinted that he’d sent his samples to be tested and now, in a recent tweet, he claimed that he’s entered the USADA pool. The testing takes a six-month period before the fighter can be cleared to step inside the Octagon. Until then, McGregor will have to wait patiently. But interestingly, he has already set plans on how and where he’ll spend his training time. He wrote in the Tweet, “I’m back in the pool. Will be doing my stint at high elevation before the bout.”

It would appear that the veteran fighter knows what to do once his samples are sent in. Training at a high elevation means being in a location virtually inaccessible by the USADA. This isn’t an uncommon practice amongst UFC fighters. Fighters like Jiri Prochazka and even Dagestani fighters have trained in virtually inaccessible locations. Seemingly, fans had a lot to say about this.

Fans react to McGregor’s USADA confirmation

McGregor is now set to return soon to the cage, but until then, ‘The Notorious’ will train in the mountains. As of right now, a contract between him and Chandler has not been signed so his actual next fight remains a mystery. Since Chandler and McGregor have teased and taunted for months now, fans didn’t hold back with their reactions.

This fan was sure that McGregor was going to have the highest energy he’s had in a long time.

Some of his fans rejoiced at his return and couldn’t wait to see him back in the cage.

Yet more fans couldn’t wait to see him outperform his opponent in the cage. For many, their favorite was back.

Others were certain that his plans to go off towards a higher elevation was a neat trick to evade the USADA.

This one fan also commended McGregor for playing it smart with the USADA.

Finally, one fan had a really deep sense of concern for the fighter’s epic return, all the while rooting for the starfighter to return with a hungry attitude and in top form.
