Conor finds a potential opponent in Gaethje
As a former UFC two-division champion, Conor always remains open to facing potential opponents in the future. And with Justin Gaethje being crowned as the new BMF champion, Conor has new plans in sight.
Following Gaethje’s highlight reel knockout over Dustin Poirier in their UFC 291 rematch, McGregor tweeted about ditching his probable fight with the former three-time Bellator champion. Instead, he expressed his desire to fight the newly crowned BMF champion, Gaethje.
While McGregor’s tweet added a layer of excitement, Michael Chandler has shared his perspective. Chandler believes that the fight between him and McGregor is happening, asserting that the clash makes too much sense to not materialize.
In a recent interview with ESPM MMA, Chandler said, “I’m still the most entertaining guy on the doggone roster. Everyone wants to see the greatest comeback in combat sports history, so I think it’s going to be me and Conor. That’s it.”
